About this event
Join Willamette Riverkeeper and WKCC to Get Dirty for Good with a paddling cleanup effort from Clearwater Park to Aspen Street boat ramp. This is a "bring your own boat" event. If you don't have a boat, please join one of the On Land cleanups. PFDs required! The cleanup will be followed by a Volunteer Thank You Party at 1:30PM in Eugene! Location TBA.
Saturday, October 4, 2025 Timeframe:
8:00 Aspen and D takeout to arrange shuttle/carpool.
8:30 Clearwater park--get boat and gear ready to launch.
9:00 Please be self shuttled, geared up and ready for Safety talk
9:30 Launch and begin cleanup!!
12:30 Takeout, transfer trash to bins, load boats.
1:30 Thank you PARTY!! location TBD

DETAILS: Please be on time! We will aim to get on the water by 9:30AM, beginning with a safety briefing and clean up plan before heading out. Please dress for the weather (and the water!), bring water, and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes. Willamette Riverkeeper will provide trash bags, gloves, and trash grabbers. PFDs are required and must be worn at all times on the river to participate in this event. Minors 12-17 are also welcome to join this event if they will be accompanied by an adult in their boat who is responsible for the minor and is authorized to sign their participation waiver.
Please be proficient paddling in moving water for this event and always be aware of high water currents.
